ZI’m a PhD candidate in the Wainwright Lab & Population Biology Graduate Group at UC Davis. I’m a fish head interested in the relationship between functional morphology and evolution, particularly the role of major functional transitions in morphological diversification, the exceptional morphological and functional diversity of reef fishes, and in modularity and evolutionary coupling in functionally integrated systems. My past research at Friday Harbor Labs and Cornell University has focused on shark tooth performance and the relationship between size and burial performance in flatfishes.
